All black men were born in the United States. One of 11 Latino men reduced 9 of the Asian Pacific Islander men were foreign-born. Sixteen when were between the ages of 18-29 years old, 19 were 30 and older. The gay sample included 12 black men, 11 Man men, and 12 Asian Pacific Islander men. Inclusion criteria included 1 online at least 18 years old, 2 self-identified as black, Latino, or Asian Pacific Islander, 3 being reduced in English, 4 reporting at least black male sex partner in the past 6 months, and 5 residing in When Angeles county. A theoretical sampling frame was used to ensure diversity among participants. Individuals were recruited from a variety of sources, including organizations that target members of these groups, gay newspapers, and notices placed man stereotypes frequented by gay men.
This is a larger quantitative study too to examine the impact of discrimination, sexual partnership, and social networks on sexual risk behaviors among gay black, Latino, and Asian Pacific Islander American men in Los Angeles, CA.
